Popular local politician and former Mayor chosen as LibDem Prospective Parliamentary Candidate

Grantham & Stamford Liberal Democrats have selected former Stamford Town Mayor, Councillor Harrish Bisnauthsing, as Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency.

Councillor Bisnauthsing, a computer hardware consultant, came to the UK from Mauritius in 1965 to complete his education. After service as an electronics and radar engineer in the RAF, he settled in Stamford with his wife and family in the seventies. He has been a Town and District councillor over the past twenty years and is a respected and very popular figure in local government.
